Overview

Patches is a logic puzzle game published by Rousoftware. This policy explains what information we collect, use, and disclose when you play the game, sign in, view ads, make purchases, submit community levels, or visit patches.rousoftware.com.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google Play Games, we receive identifiers needed to recognize your account, such as your Play Games player identifier, display name, and profile image if available.

When you use online features, we store gameplay and community data such as level completions, leaderboard times, achievements, likes, uploaded levels, moderation status, and basic server logs including IP address, request metadata, and timestamps.

The app stores local game preferences and progression on your device, including offline progress, drafts, downloaded community levels, and whether you purchased the ad-removal upgrade.

Advertising and Purchases

Patches uses Google Mobile Ads to display ads in supported versions of the app. Google and its partners may process device and usage data in accordance with their own policies to deliver, limit, or measure ads.

If you purchase the remove-ads upgrade, the app stores the purchase state so ads can stay disabled and your hint limits can be adjusted accordingly.

How We Use Information

We use your information to authenticate your account, sync progress, operate leaderboards and achievements, process purchases, support community level submission and moderation, prevent abuse, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We use personal data only as needed to operate and improve the game and its connected services.

Sharing

We share data with service providers only when needed to operate the game, such as hosting providers, database infrastructure, Google Play Games sign-in services, Google Mobile Ads, and app store billing systems.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the service and its users.

Children's Privacy

Patches is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Retention, Deletion, and Contact

We keep account, moderation, and gameplay records for as long as they are needed to operate the service, enforce community rules, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your server-side account data by contacting ege@rousoftware.com from the email address or account context associated with your request. We may need additional information to verify the request.
